Accessibility
Last reviewed: October 6, 2026
All are welcome here. That's the first line of our credo, and it includes how you use this website. Whether you use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification, or just a small phone screen, you should be able to learn about our work, book a session, and reach us.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium.
What we've built in
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
- A main menu that works with a keyboard: Tab opens each section's preview panel and moves through its links, and Esc closes it. On phones the menu opens as a full-screen list.
- Visible focus outlines, so you can see where you are when moving through the page with a keyboard.
- Text descriptions (alt text) for every photo.
- Labels on every form field, and messages that screen readers announce when you send a form or book a time.
- Time buttons that tell screen readers which time you've picked, not only by color.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns its animations off.
- The photos on the home page change every 45 seconds. A Pause button stops them, and they also hold still while your pointer or keyboard focus is on them. If your device is set to reduce motion, they start paused.
- Text and background colors chosen to meet WCAG contrast levels.
- A layout that fits phone screens without sideways scrolling.
How we check
Every week, an automated review tests every public page of this site against WCAG 2.2 AA on both a computer-sized and a phone-sized screen, and our team reviews the results and any changes to what the site says. Automated tools catch many problems but not all of them, so we also review new features by hand before they go live. We're still adding hands-on checks with screen readers and keyboard-only use, and we'll update this page as we do.
Known limitations
- Calendar invites and video meeting links are sent by Google Calendar and Google Meet, so their accessibility depends on Google.
- Photos are shown as images. If you'd like a spoken or written description of any photo, just ask.
